About Maggs Optics
Maggs Optics opened it’s doors at no. 6 Riverside Arcade, Haverfordwest on 13th November 1999. This unit at Riverside Arcade was compact to say the least, with a cupboard like testing room and a limited display space. It was, however, to lead to big and better things when in 2001 a 2nd unit was acquired. At No. 8 we were able to build a new “full-size” testing room, a visual field of vision room, increase display area and start our impressive sunglasses collection. 2003 and unit no. 3 with another “full-size” testing room, a fundus photography room, and a separate dispensing and children’s display area. In 2006 we will be opening another unit which will be a self contained contact lens and sunglass centre.

Qualified as a Dispensing Optician in 1986. Moved from Resolven, Neath in 1988, to work as a Dispensing Optician in Haverfordwest
